The Gites
Downstairs, each gite is open
plan, making the living areacool and airy in summer and, for anyone staying
in the winter months, gas-fired central heating and open fires with logs
provided will keep you warm. All are furnished with comfortable
sofas and chairs, and to keep everyone happy, we have installed satellite
TV and stereo hi-fi music systems. Each Gite has one 'Queen
Size' (Large double) Bed in the master bedroom and single beds in the
other bedrooms. The beds have mattresses made specially for us and the
bathrooms are well equipped with bath and shower facilities and all the
2 storey gites have a second WC. The kitchens are fully equipped
and include a dishwasher, all have a washing machine .
Outside, each gite has its own terrace with garden furniture where you
can eat out in summer. Just beyond, there is a pretty terraced garden
with a 15-metre swimming pool, stone pool house and barbecue. Faites
comme chez vous! (Make yourself at home!)
We have named our Gites after the principal activities that take place and are close to the hearts of the owners of the Château.
L'Ecrivain
The Writer - During the winter of 2003/2004 we converted the 14 century tower,shown in the picture, to a fifth gite, offering accommodation for 6 people with a master bedroom in the top of the tower with ensuite bathroom. A further two bedrooms and two bathrooms, a minstrel type gallery lounge with open fireplace, kitchen and outside terrace are all finished to an extremely high standard and furnished to match
L'Ecrivain - This 110 m² gite sleeps six with a double bed in the master bedroom in the tower, and double beds in bedrooms 2 and 3, all with ensuite facilities.. On the ground floor is the lounge with mezzanine area, dining area, and kitchen

Le Musicien
The Musician The chateau hosts occasional jazz and blues evenings and supports local musical soirees in the nearby Chapel of St Julien. It has a large and magnificent, stone-vaulted main room providing a unique living space that is particularly roomy and comfortable. When not let as a gite, it can be used for special occasions, such as festive meals, musical, poetry or other happenings.
Musicien is our special single-storey 102m² gite, adapted throughout for wheelchairs. The gite sleeps four with one double bedroom and a twin bedded room. A large bathroom and separate large WC are provided with easy access. A 65m² lounge and dining area provides spacious accommodation for all

Pecheur
The Fisherman, from here you can enjoy some of the Languedoc’s finest fishing just 700 metres from the from the château in the Rivers Orb or Jaur, or half an hour away in the two mountain lakes at Salvetat.

Le Peintre
The Painter The spectacular landscape and clarity of light have brought many talented artists to the area, as well as sculptors and ceramists.

Le Randonneur
The Walker, simply because Colombières sur Orb is recognised as a centre of excellence for walking.
Le Randonneur 75m² gite, sleeping six, has two twin bedrooms and a double bedroom ,upstairs bathroom and wc and on the ground floor lounge, kitchen area, and a second wc.
